2,772 Invitations to Apply for Canadian Permanent Residence Issued in September 6 Express Entry Draw

Candidates in the Express Entry pool pool for immigration to Canada with 435 or more Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points were issued an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in the latest draw from the pool, which took place on September 6.  There were 2772 candidates that were invited for permanent residence under all programs.

Express Entry was designed with three main objectives in mind: 1) flexibility in selection and application management, 2) responsiveness to labour market and regional needs and 3) speed in application processing.
Once candidates enter the Express Entry pool, they are assigned a CRS score based on factors including work experience, education, language ability, and other criteria. This score determines their ranking in the pool. During these periodic Express Entry draws conducted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the highest-ranking candidates are issued ITAs. Candidates who receive an ITA may submit an application for Canadian permanent resident status.
Invited candidates have 90 days to submit a complete application for permanent residence, including supporting documentation. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) aims to complete the processing of applications within six months.
